About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support our legal department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple priorities. You will work closely with our General Counsel and assist with various legal and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth legal operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Counsel with day-to-day tasks and legal operations.
- Draft, review, and format legal documents, including correspondence, reports, and contracts.
- Organize and manage legal files and records, both in physical form and through digital platforms.
- Manage and update company platforms, including case management systems, contract management tools, and compliance tracking software.
- Monitor legal deadlines to ensure timely submissions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support in document filing (physical and electronic), ensuring databases are current.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist in tracking work projects, delegating assignments, and ensuring the effective flow of work.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of legal terminology and assist in drafting legal documents.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal department.
- Familiarity with legal documents, processes, and terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in managing platforms like case management systems and contract management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with legal practice management software.
- Knowledge of corporate compliance processes.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and other legal technology platforms.
