The King County Road Services Division is seeking two experienced Accounts Payable Specialists (Fiscal Specialist III) to join their dynamic team. As the largest division within the Department of Local Services, the King County Road Services Division maintains about 1,500 miles of roads and 182 bridges in unincorporated areas of King County. Job Duties
- Process accounts payable operations, including invoice and payment processing, vendor management, and budget charge coding.
- Organize and maintain fiscal records, track expenses, and perform reconciliations.
- Conduct interviews and document business risks, inconsistencies, and controls.
- Prepare and approve purchase requisitions, expense reports, and financial corrections.
- Provide customer service, communicate established policies, and process incoming mail.
- Collaborate on process improvements and assist in maintaining audit records.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and financial support roles.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting systems and methods, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Adobe Pro.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, or SAP.
- Knowledge of King County procurement policies.

Work Schedule and Location

Emergency Designation Status
- Employees are expected to report to work or request leave during emergency or inclement weather situations, with the Renton location designated as Mission Critical.
