The Entry-Level Professional Accountant will perform foundational accounting tasks, including analyzing transactions, reconciling financial data, and preparing reports. The role involves compliance with government regulations and contracts, financial statement preparation, and supporting projects under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze accounts, transactions, and financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and code financial transactions, post journal entries, and complete profit and loss statements.
- Compile, consolidate, and analyze fiscal information for financial reporting and account closures.
- Monitor account balances to ensure sufficient cash flow and recommend actions to meet obligations.
- Research and respond to routine accounting inquiries.
- Perform special projects and contribute to organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience: At least one (1) year of professional accounting experience.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Good understanding of mathematical principles and basic accounting concepts (GAAP, internal controls).
- Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX.
