Role Objective:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to join our dynamic Early Tenure team as an Account Development Consultant (ADC). The Early Tenure Team is responsible for the onboarding and early tenure treatment of newly acquired commercial clients. The ADC plays a critical role in driving charge volume, completing the onboarding process, and building deep, loyal relationships with new commercial card clients. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a team that sets the foundation for long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound telephone consultations and account development activities.
- Understand client needs, provide appropriate solutions, and resolve or redirect client concerns.
- Utilize consultative selling and negotiation skills to drive growth in charge volume.
- Quickly build trust with clients to recommend payment efficiencies while demonstrating value.
- Develop and leverage cross-functional partnerships to optimize Blue Box values.
- Adhere to Blue Box Values, GCS Sales Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and American Express Leadership Behaviors.
- Act as a champion for Compliance within US SME AD and GCS.
Training and Work Environment:
- Training will be 5 weeks fully onsite at either the Sunrise, Florida, or Phoenix, AZ location.
- After training, colleagues will have the flexibility to work in a Hybrid model (3 days onsite).
Qualifications:
- Preferred knowledge of Business and Corporate Programs.
- Prior experience in consultative sales or account development, particularly in an outbound call environment.
- Proven experience in effective account development and managing a "pipeline" of growth opportunities.
- Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal colleagues and support personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and make quick decisions while remaining flexible, resourceful, accountable, and resilient.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deliverables and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic "can do" attitude and focused work ethic.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and intranet-based applications/platforms is a plus.
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required (no visa sponsorship).
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits.
- The final salary will be determined based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
