Job Description

The⠀Behavioral⠀Health⠀Intake⠀Specialist⠀facilitates⠀the⠀admission⠀process,⠀provides⠀information⠀and⠀referrals⠀and makes⠀appointments⠀for the⠀treatment⠀of⠀psychiatric⠀related⠀problems.⠀This⠀position⠀is also⠀responsible⠀for intake⠀and⠀linkage of⠀RWJBarnabas⠀Health⠀Care⠀System⠀employees⠀and their⠀dependents⠀to⠀RWJBarnabas⠀Behavioral⠀Health⠀Network⠀EAP⠀Affiliates/Provider⠀Network,⠀as well as⠀for⠀external⠀EAP⠀accounts(total⠀membership⠀approx⠀150k). The⠀Behavioral⠀Health⠀Intake⠀Specialist⠀is⠀responsible⠀for all⠀associated⠀data⠀inquiry,⠀data entry⠀and⠀record-keeping.⠀All⠀methods of⠀practice⠀shall⠀conform to⠀written⠀hospital⠀policies⠀and⠀procedures⠀and be⠀carried⠀out to the⠀highest⠀achievable⠀level of⠀competence⠀in a⠀manner⠀demonstrating⠀concern⠀and⠀consideration.⠀The⠀Behavioral⠀Health⠀Intake⠀Specialist⠀will⠀demonstrate⠀the⠀RWJBarnabas⠀philosophy⠀to Total⠀Quality⠀Management⠀by⠀actively⠀applying⠀that⠀philosophy⠀in all⠀dealings⠀with both⠀internal⠀and⠀external⠀customers.

Requirements

Bachelor s⠀degree in⠀psychology⠀or related⠀human⠀services⠀field⠀required.
Minimum⠀two years⠀crisis⠀intervention⠀experience⠀required.
Strong⠀interpersonal/telephone⠀communication⠀and⠀organizational⠀skills⠀required.
Knowledge⠀and⠀proficiency⠀of word⠀processing,⠀computer⠀data input⠀and/or⠀mainframe⠀preferred.
