Qualifications:
- Must be a⠀Christ-follower⠀who⠀upholds,⠀in word⠀and deed,⠀the Hill⠀Country⠀Christian⠀School of⠀Austin’s⠀Core⠀Values and⠀Statement⠀of⠀Faith.
- Must⠀faithfully⠀attend a⠀church⠀whose⠀fundamental⠀beliefs⠀are in⠀agreement⠀with the⠀Statement⠀of Faith⠀of this⠀school.
- A⠀bachelor’s⠀degree is⠀required.⠀A⠀master’s⠀degree is⠀preferred.⠀Must be⠀qualified⠀to teach⠀the⠀subject-area⠀at the⠀appropriate⠀level.⠀Certification⠀in the⠀content⠀area is⠀preferred.
- Must⠀possess⠀sufficient⠀biblical⠀knowledge⠀that⠀enables⠀the⠀teacher to⠀integrate⠀Scripture⠀into⠀subjects⠀taught,⠀thus⠀imparting⠀to the⠀students a⠀biblical⠀worldview.
- Must⠀understand⠀and⠀skillfully⠀apply the⠀principles⠀of⠀classical⠀education⠀to⠀teaching.

- Address⠀any staff,⠀student,⠀or parent⠀issues in⠀accordance⠀with the⠀principles⠀set forth⠀in Matthew⠀18 as⠀commanded⠀by Jesus⠀Christ and⠀implemented⠀at Hill⠀Country.
- Maintain⠀a⠀“substitute⠀binder”⠀that is⠀up-to-date⠀and easily⠀accessible.
- Notify⠀administration⠀and⠀maintain⠀appropriate⠀documentation⠀regarding⠀significant⠀discipline⠀issues⠀such as⠀violence,⠀vandalism,⠀and⠀significant⠀moral⠀failure.
- Notify⠀the head⠀of school,⠀principal,⠀and nurse⠀immediately,⠀along with⠀any⠀appropriate⠀agencies,⠀when there⠀is⠀evidence⠀of⠀substance⠀abuse,⠀child⠀abuse,⠀child⠀neglect,⠀severe⠀medical or⠀social⠀conditions,⠀talk or⠀threats of⠀suicide,⠀or⠀students⠀appearing⠀to be⠀under the⠀influence⠀of alcohol⠀or⠀controlled⠀substances.
- Notify⠀school⠀officials⠀and⠀administration⠀immediately⠀when any⠀behavior⠀that is a⠀physical⠀risk to⠀other⠀staff,⠀faculty,⠀or⠀students⠀is⠀observed⠀or⠀discovered⠀either⠀directly⠀or⠀indirectly.
- Other⠀duties as⠀assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently⠀move about⠀inside⠀campus⠀buildings⠀and⠀outside on⠀the⠀grounds.
- Frequently⠀operate a⠀computer⠀and a⠀printer/copy⠀machine.
