Production Team Member

MÜNZING is seeking a Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for daily production activities, including the manufacturing of intermediates and finished goods, operating equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The position reports to the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager and may serve as a backup for the Shift Supervisor when designated.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manufactured production batches by operating and maintaining production vessels.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Comply with production batch sheets, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety programs.
• Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) related to filtering.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Conduct HACCP and Food Defense tasks as assigned.
• Communicate production issues to the Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, or Materials Coordinator.
• Report food safety and quality issues to the Food Safety Manager and Site Manager to initiate corrective actions.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Work Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.

• Experience:

  • Preferably 1+ years of experience in batch manufacturing or a similar environment.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts.
  • Strong math and reading abilities.

• Physical Demands:

  • Operate valves, pumps, and mixers.
  • Handle raw materials using forklifts, fixed piping, flexible hoses, or manually.
  • Lift drums and bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a hot production environment, especially during summer months.

• Work Environment:

  • Operates within a manufacturing and warehousing facility for food-grade products.
  • Complies with HACCP plans and GMPs.

Key Relationships:

• Reporting To: Production Manager or Shift Supervisor.
• Team Membership: Facilities and Equipment Group, Materials Group, Production Group.
• Backup Responsibilities: Acts as Shift Supervisor if designated.
• Support Received: Backup by other Production Team members, Shift Supervisor, or Production Manager.
